 MEMORIES

 I miss you today.
 And feeling so blue;
 The singing of the birds
 Reminds me of you.

   The warm gentle breeze,
 The scents of the lilies,
 The roses, the jasmines
 Bring sweet memories.

  The grapes in the vines,
 The fruits in the trees,
 Spread before me
 A cornucopia of memories.

   The apples, the blueberries,
 The pears, the cherries
 Invite me to
 A banquet of memories.

  The rustling grass,
 The tall green trees
 Whisper softly in the wind
 Of loving memories.

   The gentle summer rain,
 The babbling brooks and eddies,
 Break forth into
 A symphony of memories.

  From the mountain peaks
 To the fertile valleys
 Reverberate gently
 The echos of memories

   The sun, the moon,
 The stars of the galaxies
 Speak eloquently
 Of precious memories.

  The playful little kittens,
 The antics of puppies
 Fill up to the brim
 A caldron of memories.

   The songs of the robins,
 The wrens, the chickadees
 Permeate the air with
 A rhapsody of memories.

  The rainbow in the clouds,
 The flowers in colorful varieties
 Transform my world into
 A kaleidoscope of memories.

The creaking of the old house,
The quilts flapping in the breeze
 Announce the marching of
 A retinue of memories.

  The calls of the whippoorwills
 Nature's twilight melodies
 Punctuate the day with
 A litany of memories.
