So impressive, so solemn I thought, I mused, For within these walls are made decisions That affect the life and destiny of the accused. How much more is the heavenly tribunal of God Impressive, solemn, grandeur, and awful? The life and destiny of every child of Adam Are affected by His judgment so dreadful. ~ ~ ~ A friend once said the judgment is for the wicked, It was never for the righteous and the good; But the Bible says "God shall judge the righteous and The wicked" on their works as written in the books. (Eccl 3:17; 2 Cor 5:10; Matt 16:27) Eccl 12:14 says: "For God shall bring every Work into judgment, with every secret thing, Whether it be good, or whether it be evil." This statement came from wise Solomon the King. ~ ~ ~ Yes, the Bible teaches that there is a judgment. Paul wrote back then that it was yet in the future, John's prophetic eye saw God's judgment is come, Read Daniel and Revelation and be absolutely sure. (Acts 24:25; Rev 14:6,7) The standard of the judgment is recorded In the book of James as the law of liberty; It's also known as the moral law of God which Existed with Him from the days of eternity. (James 2:8-12; Ps 111:8) ~ ~ ~ When I accepted Christ as my personal Savior, I forsook my sins, walked the path He trod, And if obedient and faithful to the end, He'd Present me faultless before the judgment bar of God. (1 John 3:4; Jude 24) On the other hand, when the books are opened And by my name is found one stain, one smudge, This tells that I spurned His Sacrifice and failed To do my part in preparing to meet the Judge.
