Hello Lydia
I just read your Mother's story. How beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for
sharing your memories of your loving Mother. Your site has touched my heart. Was your Mom's favorite flower the iris?
Peace,
Jane
My Response:
Hello Jane,
Thank you for taking the time to write. I am glad that you enjoyed the page about my Mom. She was indeed a wonderful Christian lady. Her favorite flower was the rose, but I used irises on her webpage because her birth stone is the amethyst which is purple in color.
God bless,
Lydia
Jane's Response:
Lydia,
That is even better, that her birthstone is amethyst. So is mine. I had a
very strong connection to her that I can't really explain in words. But I feel her
warmth and love. I just couldn't believe it when I read why you used the iris....I also love roses....but we have alot of family members who are allergic or I would have them all over my yard!
I am grateful for your response to my email. I never really emailed someone
I didn't know before.
Your Mom will be remembered in my new garden by the purple irises I have taken with me from house to house since I was eight years old (I am now 51). She will be added to my garden story for my family.
I was quite amazed with every name on your site, I have the same names in my
family! My new daughter-in-law is Lydia. She is very special to me. My son is Michael...I have cousins Daniel and David (David passed away at eight years old). Nancy is my sister-in-law's name and her husband is Joe. Elizabeth was my Aunt's name. John was my Uncle's name. Glen is my husband, and my best friend is Ruth....I can go on and on....
I looked up the Rose of Sharon .....that's how I came on your site. It was an added blessing to read all about your family. I am sitting here, just feeling better on a day I am sad. My sister-in-law's Mom died and tonight I will go to her wake. She too, was a very sweet lady and special Mom to seven children.
I guess I needed a little strength and through you, your Mom sent it my way!
Hope you are not totally confused!
With much appreciation for sharing with those you don't know!
A Mom of three grown guys!
Jane
My Response:
Hi Jane,
No, I am not totally confused. The Lord works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. I'm so glad you shared your story--the garden of purple irises that you 'propagated/perpetuated' from eight years old (that's amazing!), the roses, the amethyst, the names, etc. Oh, yes, the name of my Mom's god daughter is Jane. I think God is looking down and smiling at us, don't you?
Have a great evening,
Lydia
Jane's Response:
Absolutely, no question about it! I am still amazed....
Jane
NOTE: The similarities between the two families continue:
Jane's son got married in April this year (2005). My son, too, got married in April this year. Her son's kiddie motorcycle was identical to my son's motorcycle as shown below. Jane has a god daughter named Jane. My Mom had a god daughter named Jane.
My brother-in-law's name is Richard and he has a son named Richie. Jane has a brother named Richard and he has a son named Richie. Jane, who has a Maxine in her family, said she never knew another person who had a Maxine in the family. My husband's younger sister is named Maxine. Here are pictures of the two kids and their motorcycles:
Here's a wedding picture of Jane's son Jeff and his bride Jen. Jeff got married the same date my son Michael got married.
And finally, here's a picture of Jane taken on Mother's Day, 2005:

Dear Friend,
I like your site. It is well laid out. I have not completely checked out everything. Tell me more about you and your ministry.
Yours in Christ,
Fred
My Response:
Hi Fred,
Thank you for taking the time to write. You asked about our ministry. We are just humble people uplifting our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His teachings. We are proclaiming to the world that He is coming soon and urging people to pay heed to the last-day message of life and death found in the three angels' messages of Revelation 14--the proclamation of the Gospel, the fall of Babylon, and the warning against receiving the Mark of the Beast. All these topics are found in the website.
May your day be graced with His presence,
Lydia
Here's Fred's Response:
Thank you for responding. I found your website when looking for the theme Touched by the Master's Hand. For this Sunday I've asked a lady to sing He Touched Me, and while researching the thought of His Touch, I found your site and the story of the old man who was reached with the Gospel by the mother. I thought I might use this story (if it's okay with you) in conjunction with the song in the service.
I minister to folk at a retirement home as they can rarely get out to church. They seem very hungry for fellowship and encouragement.
I must admit much if not all the stories at your website struck a chord in my heart and the tears did flow. The story of the lady praying until she could tell the story of the Crucified One and allow God to work through her sounds much like the stories and teachings I have been used to hearing. Thank you for being there and may God continue to use and bless through you.
Fred
My Response:
Dear Fred,
Thank you for ministering to the elderly in a nursing home. May the Lord bless you for doing this noble service. You may use anything on my site to bless others and honor and glorify our Master.
In Him,
Lydia

Dear Wonderful Loving Friend In Jesus,
Thank you for sending messages, Lydia. Your "The Wheels of Justice (Terri Schiavo)" page was both heart-wrenching and up-lifting. May our Holy God bless and keep you as you get His messages out to the world.
Love and appreciation for what you are doing.

Dear Lydia,
First I want to thank you for your prayers and support. The article you sent on the diet soda I printed out and gave to my mom who is diabetic and drinks nothing but diet soda. Thank you.
Next on the brown recluse. I was bitten by several brown recluse spiders many years ago. I almost died before they realized what was happening. Thank you for sending the article around. It is a very horrible experience. I was even hallucinating. I'm sure you have just saved many people from an excruciating experience.
God bless you and the wonderful work you do for so many.

Hi Lydia
I just got your site through a friend and I love it. I was also very excited to see that we have something in common. "The care of nursing homes". About seven years ago I was an administrator of a Retirement Home, I did that for four years and just loved it. I, too, have a problem with the way the patients are treated in Nursing Homes. I also have a problem with the way some of the children put them in one and forget them. I would love to open up a Day care for them but I am not sure my health could hold up now. I just feel they deserve so much more out of life once they get to a certain stage in their lives.
Again I love your web pages. You are a beautiful lady. I am 58 years old, married with two boys with their own families. I do work as a secretary/bookkeeper which I love.
I hope you will write me back. I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Bless you,
Pat
Here's My Response:
Dear Pat,
Thank you for taking the time to write me. It's always wonderful to hear from visitors to my website. I'm glad you enjoyed the page about the "ideal" Alzheimer's Nursing Home. I hope that someday, by God's grace, that it will come to fruition. But more importantly I hope that the time will come when we wouldn't need nursing homes. If only, reading about the ideal nursing home on my website will instill a longing in our hearts for Jesus Christ to return to this earth and take His people to a place where they will never grow old, that would be great, wouldn't it?
Take care and God bless you,
Lydia

Hello,
I am having great difficulty right now and need prayer/a word of knowledge, etc. I am "beyond" depression and frustration! I am ashamed to go to the hospital; besides, they can't help me. I'm already on an antidepressant and an anti-anxiety medication which took away the
physical symptoms! But I'm left with my thoughts. I'm not anxious or depressed, but calm - I am calmly overdose on meds.! That's why I said I'm beyond depression! I don't see anything changing for the next couple of months. And, I have a wicked, wicked plan to stay in the
hospital on O.D. then confess to Jesus just before I die! It is hard to say what I am so "bent out of shape" about. It is a HUGE stronghold that has been there for 12 plus years, and this stronghold is part of other strongholds as well!
Unsigned
Here's My Response:
Hello,
I read your prayer request and I sure will pray for you. Jesus is your Strength and Refuge and Stronghold. He has broken Satan's stronghold two thousand years ago at Calvary. Although Satan is as a roaring lion seeking to devour God's people, he is nothing but a defeated foe, an enemy that has fallen. Christ has won the victory for you. You can't let Satan take over your life for your life belongs to God. You are not your own for you are bought with a price--the precious blood of Jesus Christ your Saviour.
God hears your cry for relief and deliverance from all that ail you. You are His child, the apple of His eye, and He loves you more than you could ever know. He is full of mercy and compassion to you, and He will give you all the heavenly help you need for He realizes that you are still in the land of the enemy.
Someday He he is going to return to this earth to put an end to sin, suffering, pain, heartaches, sorrows, addictions, and all the horrible things that steal the joy of His people. He will lift you up where you have fallen, He will bind up your wounds, and speak words of comfort to you. He will give you songs in the night. Give your heart to Him in total surrender TODAY. Trust Him that He will work things out for good to you.

Hello Lydia,
I have just spent a very pleasant time on your pages enjoying the
wonderful music.
I am a 65 year old lady from Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
I also sequence midi files - so if you would ever like me to send some I
will happily do so.
I make Karaoke files too.
God bless.
Bunty
Here's My Response:
Dear Bunty,
Thank you for your email. I've always wanted to be able to sequence music especially after I searched and searched the Internet and couldn't find a particular midi. It can get frustrating especially when you can't find a good substitute either.
Is it hard to learn to sequence? What hardware, if any, is needed, and do you have to read music or play an instrument? I think when I get a chance, I'll look into this more.
Yes, you may send me some of your files...I appreciate your offering them.
God bless,
Lydia

Hi,
All I keep hearing is how God loves us and wants to help us, but He didn't help my family when we needed Him. My Mother suffered for thirty years--real suffering as she died a death that was just so cruel. She believed in God, and I also believe in God and prayed for her healing, but nothing happened. I suffer every day feeling the pain that my Mother went through. We, the children, endured the pain with her.
I asked God to give me a sign that my Mother is OK, that at least I know she is not suffering anymore, but I get nothing from Him, not even a dream. Yet, He answers other people's prayers and gives them the signs they ask. Don't tell me to just believe in Him for that's a bunch of crap because all I did was believe but He pretty much told me to go away.
Yet, people keep telling me how kind and loving He is. All we had in our family, four of us, was love, but He took that away. Other people's moms live to reach their late 70s or 80s and some never suffer anything. My Mother died on her birthday. She was only 63 years old. I can't believe in God anymore. He wasn't there for me or my family. He has not done anything me.
Here's My Response:
Hello,
Your email moved me to tears. I sympathize, I empathize with you. We belong to the human lot and we all share the same things--pain, suffering, heartache, grief, loss, financial crisis, you name it, we all have experienced them at one time or another. No one is exempt. Sometimes we experience multiple crises happening simultaneously, they try our very souls. Sometimes we question and even doubt the existence of God because of the bad things that are happening to us and those around us. But is God to blame?
From your email I learned that you at one time believed in God and have prayed. I'm assuming that you did read the Bible or part of it. If so, do you remember reading the Book of Job? Herein lies the answer to all our human woes. The cause of all human misery, contrary to what a lot of people believe, IS NOT GOD. It's Satan the Devil. He is the enemy. Our Heavenly Father is not the enemy.
In the book of Job, Elihu, the younger but more enlightened one in the bunch, vindicated God's name when he uttered these words: "Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity." --Job 34:10.
Satan was the instigator of SIN which began in Heaven, and he continued down in this earth in the Garden of Eden with our first parents. He tempted Adam and Eve to disobey the commands of their Creator; thus, they brought SIN and death into the world. The first animal died, the first leaf fell from a tree, the first flower faded, then, all too soon, the first human death occurred. Thus began the process of degradation and decay and is continuing today. The earth waxes old like a garment.
Adam and Eve were given the power of choice. Had they not chosen to disobey God, had they not sinned, we would never have known sickness, suffering, or death. They would have multiplied and replenished the earth and all their offsprings would never have known sickness or death. They would have lived forever. The world would have gone on forever and ever in its pristine, edenic beauty.
The result of sin is ETERNAL death. See Rom 6:23. Adam and Eve were doomed to die eternally. If God is so unloving, He would have left it at that, zapped them out of existence, and started all over from scratch, but He didn't. In His love and tender mercy to the sinful pair, He offered His costliest gift to man--a Sacrifice, a Substitute, His only Begotton Son Jesus Christ, to die the death that man deserves so that he might once again be restored back to fellowship with a holy God.
The Bible says that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What a loving Heavenly Father we have! If we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have the blessed promise to live in a world without sin, without death. This promise will come to reality sooner than most people realize. Soon, you will meet again with your dear sweet Mother, but this depends on you. Are you going to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour? Or are you going to keep doubting Him, even disbelieving Him because of erroneous conception of Him on your part? The Bible says that anything that is not of faith is SIN.
The pain, suffering, grief, sickness, sorrow, and death are all part of this sinful world we live in. They will all pass away. We are pilgrims here. Our home and citizenship are in Heaven.
You believed and prayed for healing for your Mom, but nothing happened you said. Well, John the Baptist believed and prayed, too, but he was beheaded. All of Christ's disciples believed and prayed, but they all died a cruel, martyrdom's death, except for John who survived being placed in a pot of boiling oil. The prophet Isaiah was put in a hollow log and was sewn in half, Christ Himself prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, but He was crucified, and the list goes on and on.
Why does God answer some prayers for healing while others die (like your Mom)? I don't know. But one thing I know. God is Sovereign. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows what's best for us because He sees the future. We don't. We don't even know what's going to happen ten minutes from now. Could it be that perhaps had your Mother lived, that she would apostatize her faith and renounce her God, and have no desire to repent? She would then be lost eternally. Is this what you want? God knows best. We don't know what's best for us. We think we do, but we don't. Wouldn't it be much easier to surrender all to an ALL-LOVING, ALL-KNOWING, ALL-POWERFUL God and TRUST Him for the outcome of ALL things?
Don't give up hope. Don't give up on God. He loves you. His heart aches that you have a misconception of Him and His love for you. He longs to teach you and comfort you if you'd let Him. He promises never to leave you or forsake you. The honor of His throne is at stake for the fulfillment of His promises to you. You can be sure the honor of His throne is not going to tarnish anytime soon, so the conclusion is that HE WILL FULFILL HIS PROMISES TO YOU.
He is closer to you than you realize. But you are not reaching out to touch Him. Your ears are stopped, you can't hear Him, your eyes are dimmed with tears of sorrow, you can't see Him. Therefore, you doubt Him, you question Him, you fight and kick against the pricks. Why not TRUST God who ONLY is trustworthy? Why not TRY and PROVE Him today? Why not taste the Lord and see that He is good? I know you will be glad you did.
Just pray this simple prayer: "LORD, HELP MY UNBELIEF." The Lord will answer your prayer.
I will remember you in my prayers. Remember you are a very special person to God. If you were the only one who committed sin in this entire world, Jesus Christ would have left His glory in heaven to come down to save you. It's that how much He loves you. His love for you is everlasting. You have to believe it. Do your part to come to Him in humility and repentance, and He will do the rest. He will give you His grace that is sufficient. He will give His peace that passeth all understanding, and if you are faithful to the end, He will grant you to sit with Him on His Throne.

Dear Lydia,
Please go to this website: http://www.heartlandhealing.com/pages/archive/urine_therapy/
and tell me what you think of urotherapy (aka water of life and golden fountain). This is a natural remedy where one uses or drinks his own urine to heal diseases. The Bible upholds it for it says in Prov 5:15 "Drink waters out of thine own cistern".
James
My Response:
Dear James,
I went to the website and read the article. I also read Prov 5:15. In fact I read the whole chapter in four different translations. None of the translations refer to "drink waters out of your own cistern" as drinking your own urine.
The whole chapter 5 talks about the blessings of fidelity in a marriage relationship. In the Amplified version verse 15 says: "Drink waters out of your own cistern (of pure marriage relationship), and fresh running waters out of your own well." Verses 16 and 17 complement verse 15. "Should your offspring be dispersed abroad as water-brooks in the streets? (Confine yourself to your own wife) let your children be for you alone, and not the children of strangers with you." Here's verse 18. "Let your fountain--of human life--(be blessed with the rewards of fidelity), and rejoice with the wife of your youth." The rest of the chapter warns against the snare of a loose or strange woman.
The writer of the urine therapy had totally taken verse 15 out of context. It just goes to show how some people "try" to use Bible verses to prove their theory or disprove someone elses theory. It's called wresting the scriptures to their own destruction.
The Israelites in the wilderness were spared many of the diseases of the time by their sanitation practices that came right out of the mouth of God and communicated to the people by Moses. For their excrements and urine, they dug holes and buried them. See Deut 23:13. Had they not done this, they would have all been wiped out by an epidemic that stemmed from unsanitary practices. Remember there were over a million people there in the wilderness--with no bathrooms!
In the book Testimonies to the Church, Vol 5, page 443, we read: "There are many ways of practicing the healing art; but there is only one way that Heaven approves." The eight natural remedies are: pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, water, and trust in divine power.
Please note this is not discrediting conventional medicine at all. It has its place--we need doctors to do surgery, set broken bones, etc. etc.
Take care,
Lydia

Hi,
I came upon your site looking for midi's...Wow what a Witness you have here!!
Are you a Seventh Day Adventist? I have only become interested in the SDA's since June a year ago. God moved us into a new home with an antenna for TV reception......and guess what he put on that TV....3ABN....we watched and watched and have become convinced of the TRUTH.....
I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for most of my life....I was ABLE to SEE from the Bible the TRUTH of Jesus second coming...Every Eye Will See Him !!!!!and the Truth of the TEN COMMANDMENTS ..I believe that I must keep the seventh day Saturday SABBATH...... I have begun attending church here. Our church has maybe 20 members at this time....I went to a women's retreat for a weekend last fall ....and to Campmeeting last month.....
My one question I am wrestling with is I believe that the the sixth Commandment is equally important as the fourth. THOU SHALT NOT KILL....... REMEMBER THE SABBATH............some Adventists DO NOT seem to take thou shalt not KILL seriously.......they argue over the word KILL......does it mean kill or kill ????
I just don't get it........ I have done so much research....The Adventists history is not to take part in wars...not to carry a gun...not to take another's life...Like Desmond Doss. Conscientious Objector I am just talking I guess.....I just meant to tell you I am so thrilled to find your site.
In Jesus' Love,
Karen
My Response:
